HOW CAN I YOU?
I have been actively involved in the mental health field for over 20 years. My main passion includes specialization of psychotherapy and counselling-related services in private practice settings to adolescents and adults. I have relocated my thriving Ottawa Ontario private practice to beautiful Vancouver British Columbia in late 2014 to be closer to family and to experience all that this wondrous province and city has to offer! Some of my earlier experiences included behavioural therapy, supervision, program development, service coordination between children, families, and educators in the Ottawa and the Niagara Peninsula areas for children affected by autism spectrum disorder. Other experiences included supervised educational testing and assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults.
I prioritize ongoing education and professional development opportunities and believe in staying current in the profession keeps my passion and commitment to client care strong. I am currently pursuing an International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA) Certified Core Training in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) with Jon Frederickson in association with the Institute for ISTDP Training and Research in Washington DC. My professional development pursuits are mainly focused on refining my knowledge and skills of Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) including attending conferences and advanced trainings, obtaining and providing clinical supervision, and self-directed learning and teaching of other therapists interested in the model.
